The subject of which termite treatment is “the best” is the one area which usually causes the most confusion for consumers, largely as a result of conflicting opinions, recommendations and prices they may receive from different companies.
What is the right chemical? …….What is the right treatment?
Conquer Termites believe that if you are given the right information and options, and it is explained in a language that you’ll understand, you’ll be confident that you have made the right decision. We will customise your Treatment Program so that it is specifically designed to suit your needs, and protect your most valuable investment … Your home.

Soil Chemical Treat Zones – External perimeter and subfloor treatments.
| A lot of people know this type of treatment as “Barriers”. We no longer refer to these treatments as barriers, as technically, they are Treated Zones.Since the banning of the Organochlorin’s in 1995, as a result of environmental concerns, there has been a search for a Termiticide that offers real long- term control, with a fast kill rate and low toxicity to humans and pets.Until the last few years, Professional Pest Controllers have been forced to rely on products that primarily act as repellent treatment around buildings. In these situations, termites may not be killed and will continue to search for a means to avoid the treatment and attack the structure. |
Conquer Termites believe that the new generation of ”Transfer Poisons”are a far more effective method in protecting your home. This
is especially true when applying the treatment to an existing structure.
As License Recommended Applicators of the most effective transfer poison, Termidor , you can be assured that your job will be done to the highest standards. For a direct link to our Termidor information page press Termidor

Topical Treatments – Specific areas with active termites
If you have just found live termites in your house, in a tree stump, or in a retaining wall, and there are still good numbers of the critters, then we have a chance to apply the initial treatment. The purpose of this treatment or baiting program is to stop them clewing your house and if possible to eradicate the termite colony. We need to do this before installing a chemical treatment around the house.
We call it a “topical” treatment as it is applied to a certain area. Depending on the type of termite and the area of infestation we will use one of three approaches.
- Foam treatment using Permise foam.
- Foam treatment using Termidor.
- Dusting treatment using Termidor dust.
- Baiting program using Sentricon Above-ground stations.
Termidor Dust
Termidor dust is a new dusting formulation. It is basically the Termidor compound in a dust form. Once we have established the extent of the infestation we will drill small holes into the termite workings and gently apply it by hand puffing the Termidor dust. Once it has been applied into their workings, the termites carry the dust particles on their bodies and eventually back to the nest (where ever that may be). Being a very social and efficient insect it doesn’t take long for the active ingredient “fipronil” to be transferred throughout the colony.
The wonderful thing about Termidor dust is that it’s very safe to apply into domestic environments and has been proven to take as little as 2 to 4 weeks to eradicate a colony. We are finding that Termidor dust is very successful on the two prevalent types of termites in Brisbane.

Premise Foam

This is non-repellent foam that is applied from a can into termite workings. The active ingredient, Imidacloprid, is a transfer poison that the termites don’t detect. They come in contact with the foam residual and readily transfer it back to the foraging nest. It is a very safe and effective chemical with no major drawbacks | ![]() |

Sentricon Above Ground Station
- Sentricon
In some situations we might recommend to install an Above Ground bait station directly onto an area with live termites. This allows the termites to feed on the highly desirable bait that is laced with a IG agent (growth inhibitor). The termites have no idea that the bait has poison and take it straight back to the nest to feed the colony.
We normally recommend this course of action when are concerned the structure can’t adequately be treated with a chemical treatment zone on the outside and we really want to be sure that the colony that is infesting the house is eliminated. The baiting program can take months to be completed but we can measure the amount of bait taken and gain some tangible outcomes. www.sentricon.com
