Chemicals

Termidor

Termidor is a non-repellent treatment, which allows termites to enter the treated area and therefore be more efficiently killed. The reason for this is that Termidor is undetectable to termites. Termites will actually enter the treated zone, where Termidor binds to their cuticle.

Once this has occurred, it is only a matter of time before they are killed. And time is not on their side. Termidor’s unique Transfer Effect™ensures that the Termidor is passed from one termite to the next and as a result even termites that have not directly come into contact with the treated soil can pick up a lethal dose.

Termidor is one of the safestchemicals to install around your home. Infact, the active ingredient, Fipronil, is the same as you use on your pets in the flea control product – Frontline. The concentrate applied to your cat and dog is the concentrate we dilute to make Termidor. Termidor has no odour and has no effect on plants and lawns.

We also use Termidor as our active ingredient in our foaming machine when doing initial treatments. We find Termidor as a great active ingredient in eradicating live termites in a structure. It is completely safe and economical. The idea combination.

For lots of useful information about Termidor, see the Termidor Product Video or download the Termidor brochure

Biflex Termiticide

This is a liquid repellent termiticide that has an active ingredient, Bifenthrin, derived from the molecular structure of natural pyrethrins. When applied correctly, it is a very effective and safe chemical for your home and garden environment. This type of chemical is excellent to apply directly to active termites in stumps and loose timbers. It kills and repels.

Premise Foam

Premise Foam product shot
This is non-repellent foam that is applied from a can into termite workings. The active ingredient, Imidacloprid, is a transfer poison that the termites don’t detect. They come in contact with the foam residual and readily transfer it back to the foraging nest. It is a very safe and effective chemical with no major drawbacks Termite and ant control at the push of a button

Arsenic Trioxide Dust.

This is a fine dust that is “hand puffed” into timbers that have active termites. Usually only a few grams of arsenic is “puffed” in and the arsenic is always contained within the affected timber.

If there are “good numbers” of worker termites, then there is a chance that some of the arsenic will be transferred back to the nursery in the nest. If this happens, then the reproductive Queen dies, eliminating the colony. Arsenic dust has the ability to “flush out” active termites but has limited ability to be effectively transferred as it is highly toxic. It is non bio-gradable and hazardous to handle. We believe that there are better options than arsenic dust for colony control.
