It was that time again for all members of the Conquer Termites team to display their golfing skills for the 2012 Annual Conquer Termites Golf Tournament. This keenly anticipated event was held at the fabulous Bulimba 9 Hole Course on the 29 September.

Last year’s winner, Kazuya Mizutani, was the pre-tournament favorite and the main focus of all the challenges. But like most elite sporting events, the prevailing title holder is faced with a huge amount of pressure to retain the trophy. This pressure is amplified with the friendly sabotaging from other, less talented, players that want to bring the most able players down to their level.

2012 witnessed a new Champion in David Bell. As they say in sports “the cream will rise to the top”. David shot a healthy 39 for the nine holes, closely challenged by Nick Wood & Al Ferguson, both on 42. A new player, Dan Kemp, made a statement on 43.

Other winners on the day was Andy Clarkin, the winner of the Best Golfing Attire. Though some other players had more ridiculous outfits, Andy won due to his dapper golf cap.
