Treating a Termite Arboreal (tree) Nest
How to treat an Arboreal (tree) Termite Nest? You might have seen these knobby brown mud nests perched on a post or up in a tree. What should you do and what is the best way to eradicate the termite nest?
First, we need to drill and test the tree trunk for a cavity that might be harbouring termites that need to be treated. Then, if accessible, inject Termidor directly into the ‘Mud’ nest. This can only be done if the nest isn’t too high up the trunk.
If the nest is too high to be treated, then the only safe and feasible way to treat the termite activity is to inject Termidor into the soil around the base of the tree to intercept the termites.
