You know that old urban myth your neighbour trots out: if you have black ants, they keep the termites (White Ants) away. “No need to do an inspection or treatment; you’re be right”.
It’s just not that convenient, and it’s incorrect.
Time and time again, we find termites and black ants operating within ‘mm’s’ of each other. We find them ’together’ in the same tree stump, loose timbers and structural timbers in most properties in South East Queensland.
Don’t be that Homeowner that relies on myths to think you are Termite-free.
What is the solution if you find Termites?
- As we advise all our customers, stay vigilant and regularly check for the signs of Termites.
- Have a current Termite Management System in place to stop termites from gaining entry into your home.
- Do annual Termite inspection.
The main reason homes get attacked by Termites is because nothing is in place to stop them. All suburbs have termites in Brisbane, but not all homes have the right protection.
