So, you have thought long and hard and have made the decision to get a termite management system (Barrier/treatment) installed. Maybe, you actually didn’t get that much of a choice in the decision. The inspection report advised that not only is your property in a high-risk area, but the technician has found that termites have already invaded a part of your home! Either way, your greatest asset needs protection from these hungry pests.
Whether it be a chemical treatment or a baiting system, the initial cost can seem quite daunting. You need to remember that this sum will be an outlay that will give you eight years of protection (using Termidor).
BUT IS MY OUTLAY GUARANTEED?
Well, no. However, if you follow advice, your investment will be under warranty. There is a difference. According to UpCounsel - an interactive online service for businesses explains, “A warranty has a time limit, such as 12 or 24 months, but it may be extended to a longer period like 36 or 48 months. Conversely, a guarantee isn’t time-bound and can’t be extended. One way to think of it is that a guarantee is more general, and a warranty is a more specific and legal term.”
Now that we have the semantics out of the way, what does this mean for you?
In essence, the products we use have a shelf life. The manufacturers of these termiticides do offer a very specific time period that their product will be effective. An example of this is from the Termidor website.
Termidor Warranty facts: Limit of warranty
The Termidor treatment MUST be applied by a Termidor Accredited Applicator (Pest Control Operator). The property owner will be supplied with a copy of the Certificate of Termiticide Application and Termidor Assurance Warranty Certificate.
Inspections during warranty
Annual inspections are mandatory and MUST be performed by a licensed and insured Accredited Termidor Applicator.
Warranty period
Following each annual inspection, the warranty can be extended for another 12 months - upon satisfaction that ALL recommendations from inspection reports have been implemented.
So, there you have it. Once our accredited technicians have installed the termite management system to protect your home, it becomes a team effort. We cannot guarantee that the termites will not penetrate the application. There are NO absolutes in life except of course for death and taxes!
Protect your home and your outlay. The cost of the annual inspection far outweighs the loss of the treatment warranty.
For added security, once you have a chemical treatment installed by Conquer Termites, you’ll be covered by our treatment warranty. This means we will re-inspect and re-treat in the unlikely situation termites gain entry through the treatment we have installed. Also, you (or your agent) can call us to do a free spot check if there is an area of concern during the 12 month warranty period.
The warranty period is extended for another 12 months on the completion of a successful warranty inspection.
