We were recently asked to inspect a house in Holland Park, Brisbane, that had some live termites (White Ants) in a door frame of the bathroom upstairs. After applying a foaming treatment to kill the termites in the structure, we recommended a chemical treatment to the external perimeter to stop re-entry, using the non-repellent transfer poison, Termidor

This house provided certain challenges to get a complete treatment right around. The front perimeter had soil over a meter deep leaving only one option to get it right, dig all the way down to the footings. When we do this, we recommend to install a reticulation pipe at the base and sheet the house wall - bricks with Homeguard sheets. This allow the chemical to be replenished at the right recommend interval along the base and the Homeguard sheeting will last for over 5o years.
