Answering the phones for Conquer Termites is one of my favourite jobs. I just love being able to help people and answer their queries. It occurred to me today that I do get asked quite similar questions throughout the course of the week and so I thought I’d take the opportunity to answer a couple of your termite related questions here:

What areas do Conquer Termites service?

All of Brisbane (North, South, Central) and the Gold Coast.

What should I do if I find live termites?

Ask us to book in your free 30 minute check or cut straight to the chase and book in your full termite inspection to find out exactly what you are dealing with.

What should I do in preparation for my termite inspection?

I recommend checking around your skirting boards in the house to see if our technicians will have clear access – this part of the house is one of the most common areas that we detect termites.

Do Conquer Termites technicians always use thermal imaging camera on every termite inspection?

All of our technicians have and regularly use their Flir E50 thermal camera. They determine when to use the thermal camera by using their other devices such as the moisture meter, tapper and torch. If there is a requirement for further investigation they will use their thermal camera. If you would like one of our technicians to show you exactly what it does, feel free to ask them at your next inspection.

What termite treatments do you use and recommend?

Each home is different, that’s why we spend the time to fully train and accredit our technicians in a range of options for termite treatments. Some of the most common are a termite barrier or treatment zone with Termidor or Altriset, a partial termite barrier or treatment zone with the aforementioned products as well as above ground bait stations or even an initial or topical treatment followed by a preventative barrier or treatment zone.
